About/Review Policies

Presently I'm writing music reviews mostly here, as well as occasional freelance articles elsewhere. I attempt to write thorough, thoughtful reviews that expose your work to people with a casual interest in music as well as more devoted music fanatics and other musicians. Reviews are supplemented with a weekly podcast where I can address an even broader range of creative contemporary music.

TO SUBMIT MATERIALS FOR REVIEW/PODCAST:

Send an email to scottscholz@gmail.com, or leave a comment with your contact info. From there, we can work out details. Due to the large volume of physical submissions, and the need to address liner notes, packaging, and artwork in reviews, (and let's be honest--mp3s and streams are terrible formats for deep listening), I can only accept physical releases on vinyl, cassette, or CD for review.
